Your Say...

Another new feature, inspired by my wanting to get know you all better. I'm always desperately curious to gather all sorts of different opinions on certain topics, and I figure a blog is a pretty simple medium through which to satisfy such a curiosity. A new question each week, starting with something nice and easy (but which I am none-the-less very interested in hearing the answer to)...

Which do you prefer?

cities...

...or the country?

Is there a reason behind your preference?

Personally, I'm a city girl. But a nice little trip to the country is always a welcome holiday. It's just not something I could commit to full-time, I don't think. I need technology. I need street lights. I need people...But that's just me.

ALSO feel free to ask me any questions and I will incorporate my answer to one (or more) in tomorrow's recap post.

Can I pick suburbs? Haha, I'm a suburb girl -- sooooo close to cities but have yards, etc. However, if picking between cities and the country, it's the city hands down!

I do like the country. Lately, it worries me here in the mid-west where I live. So many shooting in the city..but the past week there have been 2 shooting out in the country at farm houses. Meth really plays a huge part of the problem in the country..as well as the city. Unfortunately.

I live in the burbs and yeah, its nice to take a walk in the neighborhood..find folks a block or 2 over at the ballfield. Stroll to the library. Besides, I could never leave for out in the country like my grandparents..especially in west Texas where they are..lots of critters about..rattlesnakes too.

if you would see the ones that some girls wear here...it's like the Rio carnival...they don't know the meaning of less is more:)
aww and I'm half, half, I grew up in the country side, moved to school in the city 11 years ago but if I have internet, nothing against the country side:)
my "country side" is near my city, like 19 km:)

This is a good question :)

I think I'll be forever 'City Girl'! I prefer high rise building than country houses, though I'd like to visit a county once in a while but I would never sit still.

I love the city noise, the crowd and the convenience it gives to me.

I was never a fan of mud and wet grass, I like flowers in a vase, simple as that :)

I am definitely a city person too - everything about it, the lights, crowd, activities. Coming from New York City, there's always something exciting to do :)

I prefer the city myself. The fast-paced vibe and the public transportation rank fairly high as to my reasoning. :)

I think I'm in between girl. Though it just might be cause I've never lived in big city, I wish I had.

I'm the same as you. I'm a city girl, but the country is a wonderful change...as long as the town is good and there is an internet connection, haha. But the country is nice to get fresh air and relax.

at this point in my life, i think im a city girl.. just because i know im young and i want to venture out and meet different kinds of people!

i wouldn't be surprised though that at the end of the day, i'd want to settle in the countryside! :D

every one i know thinks im preppy and high maintenance but once they get to know me they know id prefer a day in the country with my pets then a day in the city with friends and truthfully i can see myself living there full time. surrounded by my lover pets and a garden :)

I'm with the first commenter! I love cities but cannot do without garden space to move. I could not give up my wild garden!
Plus I [literally] live on the edge of a forest (which is the star of my latest post).

We're lucky in Australia though, we do get the best of all worlds... if I had really had to choose it would always be city, I do love the country but... I need frenetic kinetic energy.

However, give me a choice of a city or out on the water then... sea you later.... :D!
