The Curve

V Magazine, upcoming issue

"Every decade has a body type, but what if we just keep it like this, where everyone is accepted? There's definitely a lot of other things happening, whether it's Mark Fast [hiring bigger models] or Glamour making a pledge [to include all sized models]. I think a lot of people that have power are stepping up and it's incredible."
Crystal Renn, interviewed by StyleList

Yeah I completely agree - the pressure to design something amazing season after season must be mind-numbing but then again, that is their job! I just wish AW was as amazing as Spring/Summer x

I'll be happy when 'plus-sized model' stops referring to 'normal sized person'. But it's good to see someone is trying.

I love love love Crystal! I'm curious about her biography, hope it will be available in Belgium soon.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Hope everything is ok with the movement, good luck with the job-haunting! *fingers crossed* I wish you a very wonderful week as well! xx

ps Going to visit those new Vogue sites asap!
Funny how a normal, healthy woman gets labeled plus-size. 90% of women are like that! Halleluja! ;)

Thanks for all of your comments lovelies! So glad that curves are getting a better rap these days, people like Crystal Renn (god, I just love this gorgeous woman) are such an inspiration.
It is a shame that she is labelled 'plus-size' despite the fact that to us she is normal sized. I suppose that in comparison to the size zeros, anybody can be 'plus-sized', though. But it's great to see that the industry is changing all the same, even if it is one baby-step at a time!

Thanks again!
